BREAKING!!! Tension In Kaduna Communities As Bandits Kills Police Officer, Abducts Wife, 2 Daughters And 20 Others (Photos)

During raids on the villages of Ungwan Maje and Ungwan Laka in Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Area, bandits killed a police officer and kidnapped 23 persons.

In the early hours of Wednesday, September 8, the bandits assaulted the settlements and began fire on inhabitants who were still sleeping.

The gunmen initially struck Ungwan Maje, where they abducted 16 people, including women and children, according to eyewitnesses.

They then went to the Ungwan Laka village, where they assassinated Inspector Yahaya Joshua Markus, a mobile police officer, and kidnapped his wife and two daughters.
 

According to reports, the dead officer was on his way home from the Rivers State Command, where he was stationed.

The bandit set fire to and destroyed the victims’ belongings.

Aruwan Sanuma, a resident of Ungwan Laka and a retired military personnel, was alleged to have narrowly escaped. However, the hoodlums set fire to his car and motorcycle.

The event was confirmed by Mohammed Jalige, a spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, who said security personnel were on the trail of the bandits with the goal of catching them and freeing the kidnapped victims.

According to George Shekwagah Yusuf, a community elder, the following are the names of individuals kidnapped during the attacks:

BREAKING: Many Feared Dead as Unknown Gunmen burn down SSS, police headquarters in Nnewi

Armed attackers on Sunday set alight the police and State Security Service field offices in Nnewi, witnesses told Peoples Gazette.

The incident occurred at about 1:00 p.m. when hoodlums stormed the offices, overpowered personnel and torched “everywhere,” a witness said.

“The attackers said they don’t want to see any Nigerian flag standing in the area,” a witness, who identified himself as Emeka Onamadu, said.

Figures as to death and injuries could not be immediately ascertained by The Gazette. Spokespersons for the police and the SSS did not immediately return a request seeking comments.

The attack marked yet another escalation of hostilities raging over separatist agitations across the region, as well as attacks by armed herders, cultists and other violent criminals.

Chike Akunyili’s death: Killers finally Exposed As IPOB denied Involvement

A Twitter user identified as @Tutsy22 has revealed the killer of Dr Chike Akunyili in Anambra state.

In a recent tweet post, Adetutu Balogun(Tutsy22) noted that the killer of the Biafran war veteran are those who are “desperate” to steal Anambra.

She continued by saying that IPOB did not kill Dr Chike, adding that the group is only a bait in the hands of the killers.

Recall Indigenous People Of Biafra had earlier denied killing Prof. Dora’s husband, Dr Chike Akunyili.
