Following allegations that Genevieve Nnaji is suffering from health concerns, popular Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has broken her silence.
Recall that a blog said that Genevieve was being held in a special institution due to drug misuse difficulties.

Georgina Onuoha, speaking about the unproven reports, stressed the infringement of patients’ rights if the information was leaked.

Georgina, based on her previous interactions with Genevieve Nnaji, claims that the 43-year-old actress is not addicted to drugs.

“We need to be cautious about the information we consume on social media,” she says. They are almost always falsehoods from the abyss of hell.

I’ve known and worked with Genny for over two decades, long before the industry was known as “Nollywood.” We had a great time in our 90s entertaining Africa.

I last saw her and had a conversation with her in 2015. A lovely and caring individual.

I have no knowledge of her private and personal life and have nothing to say about it, and I don’t believe the nonsense has been placed online.

So don’t anticipate much from this message except for me to emphasize that what is being done to her online is illegal. It’s the most serious form of defamation.

You are committing a felony if you are a healthcare practitioner working in any hospital in America and you leak any patient’s health information to the public.

Any healthcare practitioner who spreads such misinformation in America is breaking both state and federal laws. It is a violation of the patient’s privacy under HIPAA.

Fines, license revocation, and prison time are all possible penalties.

Dear Genny’s family, your child and sister have been violated as a result of the social media pranks. Get a lawyer to hold everyone responsible for the smear.

Subjecting someone to such torture is morally unacceptable.

Health information is private and legally protected. If you’re a blog that’s spread these lies about this young woman, I hope you’re aware that you’re being watched.

It’s awful how cold and heartless our people are.

You took an oath as a healthcare practitioner to “do no harm.”

I have no idea whether this is true or not, and I am uninterested.

I am aware that whoever did this has broken both federal and state laws.

PS: This should act as a wake-up message for all Nigerian public personalities. Please sign a non-disclosure agreement before entering any hospital or doing anything with anyone nowadays.

Our civilization has devolved into something so ugly and cynical. People nowadays relish inflicting harm on others. Certain parts of Nigerian society are driven by a desire to rejoice at the expense of others. It is regrettable.
