The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has yet to question former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, who was kidnapped from his Abuja home more than 24 hours ago.
Uloma Nwosu, his daughter, who stated this last night, said:

“Despite the desperate need to apprehend him (Okorocha), no EFCC official has spoken to him; he has not been interrogated.”

Mrs Nwosu told a Senator representing the Imo West Senatorial Zone that her father’s imprisonment was more political than the anti-graft agency wanted Nigerians to believe.

“Everyone watched how they raided his home and shot as if they were arresting a terrorist,” she claimed.

“It is clear now that the EFCC intends to detain him till after the APC primaries, but we are relying on the judiciary to deliver justice as the ordinary man’s final hope.”

Mrs Nwosu thanked Nigerians for their support, saying Senator Bukola Saraki was in good spirits.

On Tuesday morning, EFCC officers surrounded Okorocha’s Maitama home for hours, accusing him of evading administrative bail previously granted to him.
