Rochas Okorocha’s daughter, Uloma Nwosu, has stated that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had no legal grounds to arrest him on Tuesday, May 24 at his Maitama residence.
Uloma alleged the EFCC operatives failed to show any legal document or arrest order to justify storming into their Abuja house and forcibly arresting the lawmaker in an interview with Arise TV today, May 25.

“The manner they (EFCC operatives) presented themselves did not give the impression that it was an official activity, because there were no legal documents to back up their claim.”

As a result, you might call it illegal battery or whatever we want to call it. At this point, I was also terrified since it didn’t appear to be official, and it didn’t appear to be done correctly.

We were obviously concerned about His Excellency’s safety, which is why he asked for something so simple: ‘give us a document, a paper, a court order.'”
