In Plateau State, a female APC candidate was kidnapped on the day of the primaries

Hon. Na’anyil Magdalene Dakogol, an APC House of Assembly aspirant vying for the ticket of Plateau’s Qua’an Pan South State Constituency in the 2023 general elections, has been kidnapped.

Ubah Gabriel, a spokesman for the Plateau Police Command, verified the news, saying the commissioner of police has dispatched a tactical team to save the victim.

On the day her party’s primaries were held, Hon. Madalene was kidnapped.

Na’anyil, the APC’s only female candidate in the race, was abducted while on her way to meet with delegates ahead of the party’s primaries in Kwalla, Qua’an Pan LGA, when she was kidnapped.

“The Honourable was supposed to visit a delegation on Wednesday, but they gave her 5:30 a.m. on Thursday to meet them,” a source in the region stated. She drove to Goeragas with her brother, but when they couldn’t find the house, her brother got out of the car and went into the neighbourhood to inquire.

“He left her in the car, but when he returned, he was shocked to find her missing. He couldn’t see her because her phones were all inside the car.”
