Don Jazzy explains why he stopped Rema from being on the hit song “Overdose

Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, has addressed why Rema was left off of Marvin’s latest hit “overdose.”
According to reports, ‘Overdose’ has been on Apple Music’s Hot 50 Nigerian Songs chart since its debut. In an interview with chill FM, the popular music mogul disclosed his reasoning.
He explained that he left the “calm down” singer out of the new single because he wanted fans and Nigerians in general to see the rising musicians – Arya Starr, Magixx, Crayon, and Boy Spyce.
He went on to say that Rema’s involvement in the song would have shifted people’ focus to him because of the name he has already established in the music industry.
He also stated that he tries to keep emerging musicians away from collaborations so that they can stand out.
Don Jazzy teased that an all-Marvin Records album would be released later this year.
