Atiku Hasn’t Decided On A Running Mate — Aide

According to Atiku Abubakar’s media adviser, Mr. Paul Ibe, the presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has yet to identify his running partner.

Rumors that the ex-governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, had been chosen were untrue, according to Ibe.

Atiku emerged as the PDP’s candidate on Saturday at the Velodrome of the National Stadium in Abuja, defeating Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike, former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and others in a closely contested primary.

Following the convention, the party’s focus switched to selecting a suitable southern running partner for the candidate who would help them win in 2023.

“When we decide to talk on the matter of running mate, it will not be a subject of conjecture, we will roll it out,” Ibe stated in response to the news. It will not be discussed on social media, internet forums, or in WhatsApp groups.

So I can’t corroborate that from my own experience. This is the season for all kinds of theories. People should try to hold off until the formal announcement is made. But I’m not aware of this speculation.”
