Aguma reveals how Wike was ‘technically rigged out’ of the PDP primaries

A former Chairman of the Rivers All Progressives Congress, APC, Igo Aguma, has claimed that Governor Nyesom Wike was technically rigged out of the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential primary.

He made the remark during an interview in Port Harcourt on Thursday, according to ecocitytv.

Aguma, who is now a member of the PDP, claimed that the party’s National Working Committee betrayed Governor Wike by giving Aminu Tambuwal a second chance to withdraw from the race after he had already given his entitled five minutes earlier.

He also expressed sadness over the fact that several South-South states had sold out during the election.

“, he explained.

“We were on the verge of winning.” Technically, we’d been wired out. We witnessed a genuine conspiracy. When they said everyone had 5 minutes to speak and we saw a long interlude, we heard there was a special announcement to be made, and His Excellency, Governor Tambuwal walked out and made an announcement, stepping down for Atiku and giving a speech that was longer than 5 minutes, that’s the rigging. It was well arranged.

“Technically, stepping down and being able to declare it has a significant impact. It won’t go round if he goes there and announces that he’s stepping down. Then there was the stepping down, which was announced in such a way and preceded by a speech that made it seem as if it had been ordered from somewhere.

“One thing that came out of that is that our experience has broadened and deepened. We’ve come to realize how deeply divided this country is. We’ve realized that we still have a long way to go in the South-South.

“If we think the South-East has a problem, we in the South-South have a significant problem.”
