Dapo Abiodun Responds to Tinubu’s Statement That He Made Him Governor

Bola Tinubu has issued a statement in response to Bola Tinubu’s claims that he appointed Dapo Abiodun as governor of Ogun State.

Recall that Tinubu said he was behind Abiodun’s election as governor in 2019 during a visit to delegates in Ogun on Thursday.

Abiodun, he claims, became the governor of the state as a result of him and God.

He went on to say that the Ogun State Governor had issues with his predecessor, but that with his assistance, he was able to rise to power.

Abiodun while speaking on his governorship in a post on his Twitter account, hours after the banter, said he is not an emperor and his position is not my family inheritance.

The Governor of Ogun State also stated that he is holding the position in the trust of the entire state’s people.

Abiodun wrote, “I am not an emperor by any chance and this is not my family inheritance.

I am holding this position in trust for all the people of this state and I have vowed to be fair, just and equitable and this is the solemn agreement I made between the Almighty God and myself.”
