A deadly traffic accident claimed the lives of three Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS) personnel.
On Sunday, the incident occurred along the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway when NCS personnel were returning from a wedding in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The officers were stationed at the Potiskum Medium Security Correctional Centre in Yobe State.
The deceased include Ibrahim Ibrahim Kori, Ibrahim Garba Adamu, and Abdullahi Usman, according to ecocitytv.
On Monday, after a funeral prayer at the Palace of Fika Emir in Potiskum town, Yobe State, the deceased’s bones were consigned to the mother earth.
Hundreds of people, including the Emir of Fika and Chairman of the Yobe Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa, were in attendance.
