Nasarawa State Police Detain 24 Thugs Linked to a 2023 Presidential Candidate Armed With Guns

Twenty-four accused political thugs have been apprehended by Nasarawa State police.

Officers from the Keffi Area Command apprehended them at Minki Suites on the Keffi-Akwanga Road.

The accused were working for a 2023 aspirant, according to Force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement released on Tuesday.

Adejobi revealed that the politician ran for the Nasarawa West Senatorial primary.

After a convoy of seven private automobiles entered the hotel, the police acted on information.

Eight pump action weapons, two locally built revolver guns, 37 rounds of live ammunition, and four protective vests were discovered.

Twenty-seven cellphones, two pairs of vigilante outfits, five cutlasses, and ten knives and charms round out the collection.

The thugs “carry out their atrocious deeds under the pretext of being members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN),” according to Adejobi.
