The 25-year-old was impressive for Frank Lampard’s side last season and the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been credited with an interest in the Brazilian international.

Richarlison joined Everton for £50million from Watford three years ago.

And Rivaldo believes Richarlison will have a better chance of becoming the first choice forward for the national team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar should he join Mikel Arteta’s side.

“This could be a big summer for Richarlison and his compatriot Edu, who is the technical director at Arsenal, could be crucial in a potential move to the Gunners,” Rivaldo was quoted by Betfair as saying.

“He looks set to leave Everton, with several big clubs interested, and Arsenal looks a good option for the forward.

“Joining a club that fights near the top of the Premier League could be important for Richarlison, after a tough season with Everton, in which he was crucial to saving the club from relegation.
