
On the occasion of the 2022 Democracy Day celebrations, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will address the country’s citizenry.’
According to ecocitytv, the President will deliver the address at 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 12 as part of celebrations commemorating this year’s Democracy Day.
Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed this in a statement on Saturday, urging all television, radio, and electronic media outlets to participate in the broadcast.
He expressed himself as follows:
“As part of activities to honor Nigeria’s Democracy Day, President Muhammadu Buhari will broadcast to the nation on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 7 a.m.
Television stations, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are required to connect to the Nigerian Television Authority’s and Radio Nigeria’s network services in order to broadcast.
The Muhammadu Buhari-led administration had already announced Monday, June 13, 2022, as a national holiday to commemorate 2022 Democracy Day.
According to ecocitytv, the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, announced this in a statement on Thursday.
Aregbesola congratulated Nigerians on the 2022 Democracy Day celebrations and appealed for support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to ensure a secure, united, and prosperous country.
