Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has lamented the departure of Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane, from the club.
All is set for the Africa Cup of Nations winner to move to Germany after Liverpool accepted an offer from Bayern Munich for the forward.
Mane joined the Reds from Southampton in the summer of 2016 and established himself in the first team, and has been a mainstay of Jurgen Klopp’s recent success.
After six years with the Merseyside club, the Senegalese is ready for a fresh challenge.
And Carragher has a special place reserved for Mane in his heart and is devastated to see his “best” player leave.
“My favourite Liverpool player of this era, Sadio Mane, finally departs.
“Low maintenance, high performance and never injured! Trophies & goals galore, a true Liverpool Legend. Thank you Sadio!” Carragher wrote on Twitter.
Mane has already been replaced at Liverpool with the arrival of Darwin Nunez from Benfica.
