They were both checked in the genital area. Based on their medical histories and the results of the vaginal exam, the results show that they do not have a hymen. “The conclusion suggests that a child was sexually abused,” she said.

During cross-examination by the defense attorney, Mr. A.O. Okonkwo, Nwoke-okoi said she was certified by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and that the vaginal exams she did on the victims were within her area of practice.

“I have a license to work as a registered and certified midwife, and the vaginal exam I did was not outside of what I normally do.

Laceration of the vagina means that the vagina has bumps, cuts, or scars. When the vagina is touched in some ways, there may or may not be a cut.

In a sexual assault, a laceration can happen when the victim fights back or when the penis, fingers, or another object is forced into the vagina. In the same way, when a finger, penis, or other object is put into the vagina, the hymen cannot be whole. I can’t say who put their fingers in the genitalia of the survivors, and I don’t agree that scratching can mess with the hymen.
