Ahmad Lawan ran in the Yobe North primary according to Adamu the head of the APC

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the head of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said yesterday that Senate President Ahmad Lawan took part in the Yobe North Senatorial Primary.

Abdullahi spoke when he was leading party members to show President Muhammadu Buhari Biodun Oyebanji, the new governor-elect of Ekiti State.

He said he couldn’t answer all of the rumors about the party’s problems.

Lawan was one of the 23 people who ran for president of the APC on June 8.

Bashir Machina said he was the real candidate for senator in the senatorial district.

When asked how Lawan became a candidate for senator, Adamu said, “Don’t go to court. Is what they’re saying what you were told?

“I have no time for bad things. I don’t have time for that right now. I have time for all of that if you come at me with good things. I’ll stand here and answer any questions you have.

“I can’t answer every rumor, especially when they are bad and especially when they come from people who like to cause trouble.

“Is there a law that says if you run for office and lose, you can’t run for office again?”

“Go find out from the person in charge of putting together the primary. I’ve done what I could.

“To my honor, I do know that he did take part within the time frame.”
