Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City has been offered a deal by Arsenal worth €16 million a year, or about £264,000 a week.

If the Gunners make it to the Champions League, Jesus’ contract will go up to €17 million a year, which is about £280,000 a week.

Mikel Arteta wants to sign the 25-year-old, but Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested.

After Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the Emirates in the last six months, Arteta wants to add to his front line.

Eddie Nketiah has signed a new long-term deal with Arsenal and has been given Thierry Henry’s old No. 14 shirt.

But Arteta’s team only has Nketiah as an experienced center forward, and the manager knows he needs more players.

Jesus has done well at City. He has scored 95 goals in 236 games and helped the team win four Premier League titles, four EFL Cups, and the FA Cup.
