Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has told all of the church’s Provinces to start “Operation show your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).”
Pastor Adeboye told members of the church to encourage people to vote in the upcoming elections in Nigeria.
The letter, sent by Belemina Obunge, Intercontinental Youth Pastor/PICR, to pastors in charge of provinces, says, “We refer to the above and wish to inform you that we have received a directive from the Mission Authority to ensure a high level of sensitization in all our parishes on the need for all our members to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
“Based on the above, Provincial Headquarters and Mega Parishes are encouraged to use their parish as a center for one or two days to help their members and interested neighbors register, since the deadline for the Continuous Voter Registration exercise (June 30, 2022) is coming up soon.
“Provinces will have to send the office of the undersigned a summary of how parishes are following the above directive, including the number of adult members and the number of PVCs counted.
“The report is due on or before June 27, 2022, so that it can be put together for the Mission Authority.”
