Other persons on the INEC list include Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the current Deputy Governor and a Degree Holder from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, with his running mate Murtala Sule Garo the immediate past state Commissioner for Local Government as candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Also, Yusuf Abba Kabir, a Master’s holder from Bayero University, and his running mate, Aminu Abdussalam, have their names as candidates for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
In the same vein, the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, has Salihu Tanko Yakasai, son of the octogenarian politician, Tanko Yakasai, as running for the state gubernatorial seat.
