BREAKING: TJ Watt becomes highest paid non-quarterback player in NFL after new Steelers deal

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker made NFL history on Thursday after the 31-year-old signed the largest contract for a non-quarterback.

His new three-year, 133-million contract with the Steelers sees him break his own record, with the star making a guaranteed 108 million dollars.

He will average 41 million dollars a year.

Watt was drafted with the 30th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Steelers and has spent his entire eight-year career with them.

His reward comes after being a 7x Pro Bowler, 4x All-Pro, 2021 Defensive Player of the Year.

He also led the league in sacks in 2020 (15), 2021 (22.5), and 2023 (19).

Last season, he put up 11.5 sacks, making it seven straight years putting up double-digit sacks and has recorded 108 sacks and 462 tackles in 121 games.

His brother, JJ, a former defensive player in the NFL, called his new contract ‘deserved’.
