The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched a series of precision airstrikes between March 17 and 19, 2025, targeting terrorist hideouts in the North-East and North-West regions.
The coordinated attacks eliminated scores of insurgents and significantly disrupted their operations.
According to Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of NAF Public Relations, the airstrikes focused on key locations, including Chiralia, Grazah, Yuwe, and Zango Hill, all known for terrorist activities. In Chiralia, intelligence reports revealed that terrorists were planning attacks along major highways. In response, NAF fighter jets executed a devastating strike, destroying enemy structures and neutralizing several fighters.
In Grazah and Yuwe, extremist leaders were reportedly indoctrinating new recruits. The airstrikes wiped out their base in Grazah, while a separate bombardment in Yuwe, located in the notorious Sambisa Forest, disrupted terrorist movements along the dangerous Damboa-Bitta highway.
Another major strike took place in Zango Hill, Katsina State, where the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji coordinated with ground forces to hit a heavily fortified bandit enclave. Surveillance missions confirmed the presence of armed criminals, leading to an intense bombardment that dismantled their stronghold.
These operations, part of Operation Hadin Kai and Operation Hadarin Daji, have dealt a severe blow to terrorist networks by eliminating key leaders and destroying critical infrastructure. The Nigerian Air Force remains committed to maintaining the offensive and restoring security in the region.
